Let's put our heads together. I know of another district that has decided to extend their current contract (with minor modifications) so that they have something in place before SB 5 is signed. I believe (and could be wrong) that schools can keep their current contracts until they die before senate bill 5 affects them personally. It seems to me that signing now is better than later (after SB 5 becomes law.) What is your district doing? I believe this board is still broken and you may not be able to respond to this post. Feel free to create a new post with your answer. Our district is also up for renewal, but we haven't decided. We've hoped to have one last negotiation, but I fear our board won't offer anything past 1 year, anyway, since SB 5 is up in the air.
