I agree with the previous posters. Honestly...if you don't
get a job in Ohio, look into moving. I hate to be grim, but I
wouldn't get my heart set on a teaching job in Ohio. At this
point, many of the teachers who are resigning or retiring are
not getting replaced, so districts can absorb the savings.
Schools everywhere are cutting teachers, programs,
extracurriculars. At this juncture, if I were you, I would
SERIOUSLY consider moving, and each Spring check the outlook
of teaching jobs in Ohio. Ohio teachers are all feeling very
insecure right now, particularly under our current governor.
In my opinion, we should be feeling insecure.
Best of luck...try to stay positive. Its a tough time for all
Ohio teachers!
