Hey to all! I just wanted to ask a question about becoming
certified in Oklahoma. I have a bachelors in Elementary Ed
with no experience (when I graduated I became a stay at
home mom). I will be moving in a month and want to begin
my teaching career. All I know so far is I have to
complete an application for a one year license, pass the
applicable tests and complete the residency teaching
program. I'm sure I'm skipping a few steps but I'm curious
about the residencey teaching program. Do you get paid for
it, and are considered a first year teacher? Or is it
through a college, like an internship?
Please give me any advice for first time teachers, or
teachers who have moved from out of state.
I truly appreciate it!
