Post: Spanish Job Opening
Hey! We have an opening for a full-time Spanish teacher
here at Shawnee High School in Shawnee, OK. The outgoing
teacher taught for one year, did a great job, but decided
she wanted to go back to school for her masters in fashion
design instead. I've worked here myself for five years.
It's a good workplace where I am treated like a
professional and I am left alone to do my job. My
colleagues are friendly and talented. As a matter of fact,
in the five years I've been here, I've never heard of any
teachers who just throw worksheets at the students and sit
at their desks, which is mildly astonishing, now that I
think of it. The kids here are by and large nice, and the
admin has always backed me up when I've had a problem
parent. As a matter of fact, I take them on trips abroad
here, whereas when I worked in Virginia Beach for six years
I wouldn't even consider it. This is not the richest
school, nor the poorest. The town is nice, with two little
universities, an active community theater, three cinemas, a
few good restaurants and many adequate ones, and other
amenities expected in a medium-sized town. If you have any
questions, feel free to email me at my school email addy:
