I agree it is your subject area. It is difficult to get a
SS job no matter what way you were certified. There just
aren't that many and it is not a heavily tested area. I am
cert. in Elem Ed (it's my degree) and Mid/Int. Math,
Science, English and SS. I have never been considered for a
english or SS job. But have always gotten calls out the
rear for Math and Science. Test in science if you can.
OKCPS and TPS should hire you in a second. I taught for
TPS, they always need good teachers. I now teach at Union
Public Schools and the only openings they had were Science
and Math
