My state was using four traits for writing assessment and
changed the format for next year. Everyone thought they
would go to six traits like most other states, but they
didn't. The reason, we are told, is that the testing
companies say that there are all kinds of problems arising
in Oregon with six trait assessment and the state writing
tests. Is this true? What are the problems? Or are we just
letting the testing companies tell us how to make their
jobs easier?
