Re: No luck in OR., so far! Please help!

For "get certified in special ed",
I am wondering what your experience in transferring your teaching
certificate from the midwest to OR entailed. I have a MS-Reading
and BS-ELED from Nebraska (passed the PPST years ago). I moved to
OR almost 2 years ago (I am currently a SAHM) and am in the
process of obtaining licensure here. I am signed up to sub in
order to put in my 180 days of service before I can obtain
licensure here. So far, there have been no available dates to
substitute teach (I admit I can't be available 24/7 with young
kids in the house)and I'm getting frustrated. 180 days seems
excessive to me...What was your experience in getting licensure in
Oregon? Thanks so much and good luck to you!!
