Read the newspapers in the state for the current budget
crisis. Almost all of the major papers, including the
Medford Mail Tribune, are online. It's still a mess in
Oregon, and I am not overly optimistic of job prospects for
next year. I too am looking for work in Oregon, especially
southern Oregon, as it is my home state.
In nearby Ashland, the district is closing down one
elementary school, Briscoe, at the end of the year (declining
enrollment), and if things do not get squared around, they
may close another school.
