I teach in ma and live in ri. i've heard it's pretty hard
to get a teaching job there, especially if you aren't
related to anyone (nepotism is rampant in this state). of
course with early childhood you could get a job at a
daycare, but i know that doesn't pay too well.
can you add on a certification like in special ed? you only
need to complete some coursework (I did it a few years ago
by taking 24 credits in special ed, didnt' have to do any
addtional student teaching/practicum - just send in the
application to doe for it and they'll tell you what you have
to take. same with esl - in fact, you may only need to pass
the test for esl.
