Teaching Jobs on Teachers.Net

Hello all. I'm looking for a job in S.C., but I'm finding it extremly hard to find one. It seems like nobody's hiring. I have a degree in education, and I've put my application in. I've also checked numerous school districts, and I've even called principals. All of them are basically saying that they are not hiring now but if a position is available, they'll post it. It's depressing, but hopefully things brighten up a little soon. Anybody else experiencing the same thing?
SC Teacher No More What's your certification area, Kelli? Have you put your application on CERRA? Are you willing and able to move anywhere in the state? If you live in SC, do you live close enough to teach in either GA or NC?

Kelli Thanks for responding. I live in the Lexington area of S.C. and it's really hard here. Well it's hard everywhere in S.C. now. I have not put my application on CERRA, but after you mentioned it I certainly will. Thanks for the help. I also live in the greater Cola area and I know what you're facing right now. Keep a positive attitude. I know most of the school districts have cut back (or even cut out) subs, but do try to get on their call lists, just in case they have an opening.
