Children need a language rich environment , well labeled,
book baskets, word walls, abc lists, many reading materials.
Children need to be allowed to make choices and not be afraid
to make mistakes. They need guided practice in a variety of
activities. They need time to communicate orally with each
other and the teacher every day. They ned to be a part of a
positive behavior model.
