Right now, I'd say teaching in SC is lousy. We are expected
to do more and more with fewer and fewer resources. Just
when you think they can't throw one more thing at you, here
it comes.
A prime example is the new Power School/Power Teacher
program. How is it that there are funds to purchase this
when we have a budget crisis and are being forced to take
furlough days? (Strange that there were funds for this yet
some new textbook adoptions can't be funded.) The teachers at
my school had to spend HOURS of their own time figuring out
the program since NO training was provided.
