Humanities Tennessee accepting nominations for 2007 Awards
of Recognition for Outstanding Teaching of the Humanities
The awards are available to all 3rd-12th grade Tennessee
teachers who have demonstrated excellence in teaching the
humanities, which includes, but is not limited to, the
study and interpretation of language, literature, history,
philosophy, ethics, and the history and criticism of the
arts. Up to six award recipients will each receive a
$2000 fellowship for professional development and a $1500
grant to purchase humanities materials or for student
humanities projects. The deadline for drafts is December
31st, and the deadline for the final nomination is January
