Not only in Memphis but with many other HR offices I have dealt with in my
seemingly mad, endless job search; many HR employees are rude or non-
responsive to earnest candidates. When a potential teacher is applying for
work, normally he or she is sincerely interested in the job for survival
reasons and maybe even wants to make an improvement in young peoples' lives
as a dedicated educator. But to have lackluster, apathetic bunglars
handling their application packages in a haphazard fashion is tragic. If I
worked in HR, I would make every effort to be of assistance to the
applicants. After all, this is part of the job definition. Put a hidden
video camera in most of these HR offices and tape the amount of inactivity
    that takes place. Unreal!

HR has many parallels to our ineffective government... incompetence and
    futility.
