Post: Lay-Offs in East TN?

I am wondering if East Tennessee is having issues with
having to lay off teachers. I know that school budgets are
getting slashed across the country, but Florida is laying
teachers off every year. Last year, my county laid off 400
teachers. Is East TN experiencing lay offs as well? A
friend of mine was laid off in Asheville, NC last year, so
I am wondering if TN is the same way. Thank you so much for
the input!!
