Re: When do VA schools post jobs for next school year?

Personally speaking I am hoping that this is not the case
because I had to jump on the job I got when my husband and I
first came to the county as we were transfered here shortly
before school started and I was sooooooo lucky they had
something available.
My current position is an hour away from my house and I want to
get into the new school by my house so I don't have to deal
with this commute. Whether I get the position or not will seal
the deal as to whether or not I can start a family. I refuse to
have kids working this far away from home with this schedule. I
have been waiting for four years for this opportunity. The
school I want was suppose to open last year but got delayed.
I would hate to have to go through the whole transfer process
competing with both other transfers and other incoming newbies.
What would be the point in doing a transfer then? My position
is already a highly desired spot so competition is tough. I
might go as far as selling my soul to get what I need :)D JK
Might as well just quit and go in as a rehire if this is true
about transfers. Since this county is so competitive I can't
see this happening because you would have a lot of current
teachers jumping the gun and bombarding the principals with
resumes etc before the transfer options come out.
