I was with VB for 4 years from 83 - 87. Left when the push was
on to do away with the center where all resouces for the kids
was under one roof, couldn't see moving into an elementary bldg
with admins completely unfamiliar with sped, itinerent OT/PT/SP
that might make it around a couple times a month (which is
exactly what happened). Then went to work for the state for the
next 22 years. My last "official" day was May 22nd. As of June
1st I'm retired (again) so I'm out of it now.
In the past week I've been called by 3 parents who don't want to
let go - but - I'm not going to second guess the "new" person or
undermine her with them. What I don't (and won't) miss are all
the staffing issues. The prince where my wife teaches has called
and asked if I'd be interested in getting on his sub list ...
ahh I don't think so ... thanks for the offer but ...
Do I miss my guys - of course - I had some of them for years.
