Since most schools are out for the summer, you may be able to
see the neighborhood but probably not much more. You can
send your resume and an email cover letter to principals who
have vacancies or schools where you think they may be hiring.
Another angle is to stop in and drop off your resume but you
often can't get past the secretaries which is why I think
sending an email is more likely to be seen by the principal.
