Post: Living and working in Olympia

Posted by That Teacher Guy on 6/08/08

I'm considering applying for teaching positions in teh
area. Do you have a strong teachers union? How much does it
cost to rent a house? I'm like something rural or in a
nice location in the most inexpensive area near olympia?
looks like salaries start around $40 k for new teachers so
I could probably only afford to pay like $700-$1000 a
month. But what is gas and electric like? Any other charges
I should be aware of? How is the economy? Employment? jobs
in other sectors. What are you paying at the pump? What do
    you pay for car insurance?
