Hey!
Wife and I taught in the coulee region of WI for twenty
years, but wanted something better for our family. Came to
Gwinnett County Georgia (gcps) and found a hidden slice of
heaven!! Got a 30% pay raise, cost of living is half of
what it is in Wisconsin, district built 32 new schools in
the last 4 years and ALL were paid for before being built,
and due to increasing enrollment, hires 1400 new teachers
every year!! I came to the WI job fair in Madison in June
to help WI kids find jobs, and had an overwhelming response.

AND, in Newsweeks May 2007 issue of the top high schools in
the nation, the STATE of Wisconsin had four schools on the
list that were all centered around wealthy suburban
Milwaukee districts, while the DISTRICT I teach in had 6!!!
Kind of blows the old southern stereotypes out the window!!!

Construction is HUGE here also. For example, we are building 16 new
schools in the next couple years, and unlike many areas, they are
constantly building new homes , malls, etc. This is the fastest growing
