Re: Moving to Wisconsin--Wausau area![]()

Although I teach in Milwaukee, I grew up in Wausau. It seems
to me that the Wausau School District is a hard one to get
into. Most of the teachers who work there stay there (many of
my elementary and middle school teachers are still at their
same jobs from when I had them). You almost need to know
someone to get in. A good site to look for Wisconsin jobs is:
http://services.education.wisc.edu/wecan/ (you can apply for
openings from the site)
Wisconsin credentials are not that bad. You have to take the
PPST and PRAXIS II, if you haven't already. This site may help
you more on licensing:
