As a blue eyed blonde moving from the North to the South, yes, I
have faced reverse discrimination also at Title 1
schools...sometimes even saying "I'M from New York." will bring
out the beast...never mind the fact that I grew up in a very
small community and have no pretensions at all...I survived on
my own in NYC for 3 working years after college...probably NYC
is the least judgemental and most open society I found. Ava
