I'm a SPED case manager in a small high school in southern
NH. All of us are required to teach a content area class
(English or History) in addition to co-teaching and case
managing and will have to become "highly qualified" per
NCLB in the near future. My question: How many other high
school SPED cm out there are required to teach content
classes? (Being new to the field, I'm trying to figure
out if we're in the minority here. I would MUCH prefer co-
teaching as opposed to teaching alone and working to be a
highly qualified teacher under NCLB.)
Thank in advance for your input.
