    That is the same power imbalance in EVERY single job, occupation,
    profession. Subordinates have to do what their supervisors tell
    them. That's how work, well works. Only in education to the
    employees believe they are equal to their superiors. I've written
    this many times before, why do teachers think they can refuse
    directives and keep their job. If I worked for Dell as a
    programmer or USAA as a claims representative and i told my
    manager "No, i'm not going to do that" the request better be
    illegal, or they will show you the door.

    Texas does not have a principals or administrators union. They
    have associations JUST as teachers do. Administrators have the
    same educator negotiation rights as teachers do, which is none.

    Teachers have some of the strongest employment protections of ANY
    entry level field. Teachers can not be fired at will.
