Re: I was treated unfairly

I have a theory that, often but not in all cases, the teachers who
this happen to are actually some of the most capable and strongest
teachers in our schools. A lot of principals are petty minded and
ill prepared for a leadership role. I tell this following story to
give teachers hope that you will work again and that you will not be
branded for life: this last school year I worked alongside a
fantastic teacher that had left a previous school on very bad terms.
After she interviewed for the job, our principal called her previous
school and they had the nerve to give her a poor recommendation. In
spite of that, my principal hired her based on the strength of her
interview and it was a great decision. She was one of the best
teachers we had. Don't ever let the actions of a petty tyrant
define who you are and keep you from teaching --find greener
pastures!
