Accountability
Let's really talk about accountability. I
just hung up the phone with my nine year old
, who was upset and distraught over the
science fair. She brought home a
letter on a Tuesday indicating an apology
for the late notice, however, science
projects are mandatory and due by Friday of
the same week. She diligently stayed up
an extra 30 -40 minutes pasted the usual
10:00 p.m. that it takes her to complete the
homework that she receives, to work on a
science fair project. Needless to say she
completed all that was required of her with
a lot of pride and sense of accomplishment.
She finds out today that her projecft was
rated below third place only because the
school lost her abstract, log and research
paper. LET'S TALK ABOUT ACCOUNTABILITY!!!
Let's really talk about this one parent who
will be faxing letters towmorrow from the
School Board to the Governor's office, who
is also "so" concerned about the state of
education.
