Mama maria we didn't do it alone, about a year before I took them out of public school, I found these boards and strangers who took their time to help me, help them, who shared their materials, ideas and thoughts. We also had public school teachers who we invited into our home and hired as tutors who went above and beyond the meager wages we were able to offe...See Morewe didn't do it alone, about a year before I took them out of public school, I found these boards and strangers who took their time to help me, help them, who shared their materials, ideas and thoughts. We also had public school teachers who we invited into our home and hired as tutors who went above and beyond the meager wages we were able to offer them, and members of our community who weren't legally teachers, but none the less could teach, and organizations that made exceptions to previous policies that would have otherwise excluded my children from participation due to their young ages. Their achievements, are the result of a community of people who went above and beyond what was reasonably expected, and the results were entirely unexpected. I am happy that they both ended up in fields where they will go above and beyond what is reasonably expected to help others, some of it must have rubbed off:)
