I am overburdened by planning, teaching and assessing but the straw that is breaking my back is being a tutor. I have a group of 26 challenging 12-13 year olds. I seem to spend much time every day contacting parents by phone and email, recording attendance and achievement levels, following up on incidents, writing and amending reports, organising tutor assemblies/charity events/presentations, distributing letters, collecting reply slips, having constructive chats with individual students, etc, etc, etc. How can we do this job properly?
