I have recently made the decision that it is time to try and move to a new school district with my child starting school next year I need to be where I can get him to and from school. I currently am in a very small school and this will be 6th year there and I taught 4 years prior to that. I was reading my philosophy from when I graduated college and I was so positive and excited about teaching. I have been teach in 1st and 2nd grade in a combined classroom for the last 5 years. I don't known if it is just the struggle of juggling two grades or am I just losing my ability to teach. I love to teach and am passionate about my students but it just seems to be getting harder. Any suggestions on how to update my philosophy when you feel so down about your teach in ability.
flacka Look at how much your life has changed since you left college - you are juggling a marriage, a home, a child and a job. Your life was relatively carefree when you graduated from college so yes, it has gotten harder and that's without even factoring in the job stress.
