Bio | Phyllis Williams has been an educator of school-age children for nearly 23 years. She comes from a family of educators. She is a highly-qualified certified teacher in Language Arts/Reading, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies. She has been married for 33 years, has 3 adult children, and 3 grandchildren. Phyllis Williams attended Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas in which she received a Music Scholarship. She earned the degree of Bachelor’s in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She also attended the University of Houston in Retail Management and Wayne State University in Reading Literacy Studies. She taught in Fort Bend ISD, Houston ISD, Humble ISD, Aldine ISD, Romulus Community Schools in Michigan, and Detroit Public Schools. She was awarded the prestigious Teacher of the Year Award from Wayne RESA in 2008. Phyllis Williams is a member of Achieve 3000, National Council of Teachers of English, Texas Educators and Response to Intervention & Universal Design. She attends Fall-brook church and lives in the Spring, Texas community. |
