Paula

My name is Paula Collins. I married the love of my life in 1991, and shortly thereafter was blessed with two beautiful children. In 2014, I was blessed again with a grand daughter. I am the luckiest woman in the world. Teaching is my second career. Came a little late in the game, yet I guess I have been a teacher in some form most of my life. Before teaching high school English, I taught religious education through my church since I was a sophomore in high school. I also worked at my church as the assistant PSR coordinator. My goal before I die is to know I have touched the hearts and helped to form the minds of my students. I love what I do, even if some days I forget that (laugh, laugh). The day I find myself starting to, as Harry Wong puts it, survive, is the day I should retire. Teaching is a vocation, not a job nor a career. Teaching is a calling.
