As a highly motivated, dedicated, and accomplished teaching professional with thirteen years of hands-on teaching experience, I am confident in my ability to become a valuable member of an international teaching team. Being an eager and enthusiastic educator, I have taken the opportunity to teach a variety of students from various backgrounds, age levels, and English abilities. As a result, I am a teacher who remains sensitive and understanding to students’ unique needs, providing individual and group support while offering positive encouragement and reinforcement to keep each and every student focused and motivated. I have been able to achieve invaluable experience working with young learners, an ability to multi-task, focus on and accomplish set goals under pressure, and have gained confidence and knowledge on how to become an effective teacher and motivator. My most recent full-time teaching position was as a Grade 2 Homeroom Teacher at Shanghai Fudan-Vanke Experimental Private School, where my responsibilities included teaching Phonics, Writing, Reading, Geography, Science, and History subjects, along with assessing of current and potential future students and other day to day duties that were included with the responsibilities of a homeroom class teacher. Currently, I am studying my Bachelor of Education program at the University of New Brunswick. I plan to graduate in July, 2017. Along with my teaching experience, I also hold a Lower Elementary Montessori diploma where I studied Montessori’s theories and principles and am TESOL certified as well.
