I'm absolutely new to four blocks. A colleague mentioned that the teacher before me issued each student a 3-ring binder. The binder had tabs for all the different student activities for 4 blocks...SSR, Writing, Drafts, etc. I'm interested in doing this but I have no idea of the tabs I should use. Can anyone help? The binder acted as a one-stop resource for all student work. Instead of having a number of folders everything was kept in the student's binder.

rhonda retired now Granny, those are good ideas, but I'm wondering, could the SSR be a reading record or conference sheet for the TEACHER to use when conferencing with the individual student?
