Can anyone describe - or attach a link or recommend a book that explains - how to model the traits in a writing lesson?

I'm in a similar situation. The book 6+1 Traits of Writing by Ruth Culham is extremely helpful and has lots of practical ideas about how to teach and model the traits. There are numerous mini-lessons that the kids will actually enjoy.
