My wife has been looking for things to hang up in her classroom. (She teaches ASL.) I didn't find muchÉ one sub-store in Etsy looks to have a few. Does anyone else have a source for nice wall eye-candy for ASL high school / college students?
This is the second, full year that I have used my pacing schedule and it is working out well. The students are picking up the language quickly and showing improvement over my ASL 3 class which started out ASL 1 with three different teachers in one year and were not given a consistant or realistic education on ASL.
You are welcome to email me at jhawhee @ Bradshawchristian . com if you need help. I also use Lifeprint 1-20 as supplemental vocabulary each week which helps boost their vocab for performance-based projects.
I am an American Sign Language teacher in Michigan and came across your post today. I think you have a great idea! Pen Pal system. Very interesting. I would be willing to contact the Deaf school near my high school that I teach at to see if they would be interested in something like this. Very good idea though, instead of writing. I would absolutely use this technique in my high school with all my classes.

Hello all I am so frustrated. I'm a teacher of the deaf /hh. I'm deaf myself. I would prefer to teach asl but hadn't had luck. I love teaching sign language. Someday I'll find a asl teaching job. I hope soon.
