Correct. Turkey is the only location where you cannot bring your dependents. What grade level might this be? How many students in the room? When might I hear something from HR? If hired, will I be assigned a sponsor? etc.

1stFriday is correct. You should be able to use your employment verification letter for insurance and CAC. SF-50 should not take that long either.

It can be over-whelming. Just take it one step at a time. Phone service will vary by carrier. In the short term your carrier may be OK in Japan but check with them about the service, costs, etc. For the long term you will likely want a Japanese number, We have SoftBank and got new phones with them. It seems on the expensive side but works for us.

No. As vacancies are determined legitimate by HR, principals start interviewing. If principals have several positions to interview for, they may choose to interview for one position rather than another.

They are continuing posts for whatever that means these days. I have not hear or read about plans to close and bases/schools in the near future (but that doesn't mean it's not possible).

I agree that as far as we know at this point none of them is going anywhere. I would interview for all of them if it were me.
