So, like I said, a good chance (depending on your credit hours) but I would agree that the term is not particularly useful for making predictions for any given individual.
I received my "Official Offer" via email yesterday for an ET at Fort Jackson, SC. My start date is August 14. Does anyone know when insurance goes into effect? I don't want to resign my position without making sure I have continuity of coverage...
HelpOthersYou will sign up for insurance immediately and it should take effect as soon as the payments start being deducted from your paychecks. You can also contact your current insurance and request COBRA (coverage to hold you over until the next one).
My wife was just referred for a position in Vilseck, Germany. Does anyone have any information on it? Seems like the closest metropolitan area is Nuremburg(about an hour away), but it's still exciting!
Also, what goes on after the referral process? Does that typically mean an interview?
Is it me or have the referrals stopped coming in? The last one I received was 2 weeks ago. Also, I have heard many different opinions on how the referral lists come to be. Do they compile the most qualified candidates or is it purely random with no rhyme or reason?

None of the Information Specialists I know of ever did were required to have any duties beyond the IC, other than possibly facilitate Virtual Classes.
Real questions could involve helping students with databases, doing research, finding information etc.
Of course expressing a flexibility to help with additional duties is always appealing to admin.
I just got off the phone with the principal at a Europe position. I think it went really well. However, I'm nervous about how late it is in the summer. Is it possible for me to get everything done before the school year starts? Could I get my orders in a month? Any input would be helpful. Thanks-
