Since I have not had an interview for teaching in many years, I need to prepare for my interview. What kinds of questions have you all been asked during your interviews?
HelpOthersSome of the questions had more than two parts. I still think it is a good idea to type or write down the complete question. Or write what you can, answer that and ask them to repeat to make sure you didn't miss anything and answer the rest.
Don't recall if this is old news, but looks like two School Psychologist positions (Japan and Korea) and a SPED Assessor position (Japan) are being advertised on USA Jobs right now.
If you are a sch...See MoreRegular Ed positions generally are not posted on USA jobs. They are filled solely from the applications already in EAS. However, if there are not enough applicants for a given position, sometimes USA jobs is utilized to draw attention to EAS. It usually directs the applicant to use EAS rather USA jobs for the application.
If you are a school psychologist, understand that DoDEA uses school psychologists more as service providers and less as assessors when compared to schools outside DoDEA. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. It used to be you could click on the name of the poster to send messages, but I don't know if that works anymore.
I'm tired of the man answering the phone who sounds like he needs to give up his position and take a long break, and the lady with the attitude. I don't know why they take messages if they know those people will not call back! They will not put those licensing analysts on the phone. Donna Preston changed her name to her initials (DP) on my application, she's hiding. How long does it take to look at a transcript? Not long if you've been doing it for over a decade! ***Sorry-need to vent***
You do not have to say where, just want to know if they have started- HR told me last week they just finished Excess and were looking at Quals and waiting on administrators.
The biggest hold up traditionally seems to be the background check. You should get information in the near future with a link to complete your EQIP (if they are still calling it that). You will likely need information about addresses and contact information for the last 5 years(?), etc.
Then it's wait for your official offer/orders to come through. Could be weeks (at least 4), could be months. It's always a mystery (and a bit of a wild ride). Enjoy!
CmcI had this happen to me about two years ago. I was suprised because the job that the referral list was for was currently filled. I am local and it was for a position at my daughter's school that I knew was not vacant.
The last time a licensing analyst Donna Preston checked my application was in 2018. Does she still work there? I need my information to be reevaluated. I sent her an e-mail and did not get a response.
LolaTeachPatty was the best, sadly she told me last year, that she was no longer in charge or licensure and certification. She is in a different department now.
Any info on Guam would be greatly appreciated. Got a referral list for the ES/MS , but not sure if I want to go there. If I turn down an interview request, does it freeze me application til next year or am I still available? How does this work?
