educatormama Thanks Mary, that's what I did yesterday and each time after I attempted to post, I got an error message saying my message didn't go through and then I came back a few hours later and it posted 3 times :(. This website seems to be very glitchy indeed.

haha For me, it works better to click comment once, then open the page in a new tab and make sure it posted (before going back to close the original tab). It works 100% for me so far (knock on wood). It would be nice if they fixed the site though (AGAIN :@).

haha That was always my understanding but recently a new hire told me that they were told something different by HR. I would write to your District HR Licensing person and ask them directly (since they are the ones who would applying be your credits).

HelpOthers I agree with Frank and haha. I have been here a while, and I did not need to renew mine until 6 years after my hire date. At this point, 6 college credits related to the ares you are currently certified in are required. Although, I think you can take a limited number related to adding a new area of certification. Please ask your HR person.

Mathlete I've uploaded more documents this week for additional certifications and it didn't effect anything else. They used it to qualify me in two more areas. I was told that as long as the target year doesn't change everything is fine.

HelpOthers You can upload new documents at any time. Just be aware that if you are contacted, it may be based on the older submission depending on when they pull the information from the system.

HelpOthers As other have stated, there is no reason for DoDEA to ask about your personal/family situation. Therefore, it should not affect an offer. However, you will need to have certain permissions to apply for passports or court order, etc., Also, if your children have special needs, not all areas are equipped to handle all levels of need.

HelpOthers Keep in mind that turning down an interview is not likely to harm any future chances of an interview request in other locations. However, turning down an offer, will freeze your application for the entire school-year. So, if you don't think the location will be good for your family, don't accept the invitation to interview.

HelpOthers If you are not their first choice, they wait until the first choice person is in place sometimes before sending the "not chosen" e-mail. This way, if the person declines or backs out, they can go to the next person on the list.
