@Leo, thank you so much for getting back to me!!!! I'll look into that. Did you call DODEA to get help in figuring out which course to take? If you did, is there someone you suggest I reach out to for more information about additional courses?

Suzla, you're most welcome. I believe I found that class because of this chatboard myself! Since it was just the one class, and since others had success submitting it before me, I did not talk to DoDEA prior to taking it.

No, but I have heard it can be tricky. For the child you would need legal authority. For the parent you would need to prove dependency on you financially which generally means that they cannot have any money/assets.

We didn't transfer our numbers until after we were here, because we continued to use our US cell phones at first when we were here, mostly with wifi - messenger, etc.

I currently have T-Mobile and an iPhone 6S Plus. I had read somewhere that we can't use Magic Jack in S. Korea. @Mary, did you transfer your number to Magic Jack just to have a place to keep it?

I would actually order two copies of birth certificates, especially if you apply for blue passports before you leave and you have kids. I am a little paranoid about not having those hand carry items. It is important to have extra copies. What I did was once I had my sponsor I had her set up my box/address on base and ordered my renewal travel passports to that address. They should be waiting for me when I arrive. One reason I did that was because the house was for sale and I didn't have an interim address.

Compared to past years, this is still fairly early (or bout midway through the hiring cycle). It could be that this is now the new normal, but either way, it would seem that there will still be some further hiring happening for this school year.

When you apply on EAS, the system automatically generates reference requests when you enter supervisor or reference contact information. If you were to delay entering contact information, that person would not receive a request until you did.

Good question. It doesn't appear that there is a place to select AP on the target jobs drop down. You can select any of the AP courses on the Skills and Activities page, under Additional Training Experience.
