Hi, They evaluated my transcripts and said that I needed to provide certification proof for two areas but I have the credit hours. There is a little box to check to reevaluate but I have nothing to add. They qualified me in one area I am certified in but not in the areas I have the credit in. How do I contact them to ask to look over it again?
hahaHeard of it. Never known anyone that actually made use of it. I think that it's fairly rare (could be wrong) but I don't know if that's because most people don't need it or because it's difficult to obtain.
I am just beginning the process of applying to teach with DODD for next fall (2018), when would you suggest submitting the application. Do they interview before January? I am certified to teach special education 7-12 and general ed 5-9.
somedaySandart... i was trying to bring encourage Bondo. Did I make it sound otherwise. Being in it for the kids and not worrying about the outside factors.
BubbleHeadhaha, I did email HR, waiting for a reply now. Also I found a workaround. The Navy College website has a list of colleges and degrees and it breaks down how much credit they will give you. Excelsior College will give me about 40 credits towards an Associates in Nuclear Technology.
hahaIf you can get it on an official transcript you have a shot (similar to if you can get a CLEP etc. test on an official college transcript). Good luck!
Once your qualified...do you rest easy or can that still change? Has anyone been qualified then told they are missing something then disqualified in EAS?
ScholarI qualified then years later I got an interview. Then they checked again and decided I wasn't qualified (turns out they shouldn't have qualified me in the first place)
hahaIt's standard to say that and technically it may be true. What they really mean is that they rank the people they interview but HR has to clear anyone hired. So, if you were ranked firsts you would get the job unless something about your credentials, background etc ruled you out. Then they would look at the next person and so on and so forth.
