Bob R/CAI have a few more tweaks left, and it will be more intuitive. I'm finishing up the basic feed now, and then the group join, and then I'll have some changes for the feed.
I ❤ spedWhat is the name of the board? I asked to join one and got the approval (notification on messenger) but can't access the actual board yet. What is the name of the page? Thx
I was contacted for an interview by the principal of Sembach Elementary in Germany. Does anyone have any info they can share about this post or this school? Thank you!
Six educators were the recipients of the awards: - Michael Herrick, Sembach Elementary School- Virtual Field Trips - Kara Lee, Bitburg Elementary School- Specialized Seating to Increase Student Focus and Performance in an Elementary Context - Jennifer McPhail-Hastings- STEM Exploration Packs - Ken Robinson, Kaiserslautern High School- Robotic Solar Controllers for Engineering - Christopher Putnam, Kaiserslautern High School- Drone Controllers for Engineering and Video - Production Frank Pendzich- Computer Numeric Control Bench Top Router for Robotic Engineering
The surrounding area has many small to medium size German towns/villages, markets, etc. I've never heard anything particularly good or bad about the school but the schools in that community (there are like 15 of them) generally have a good reputation. Good luck, I'd think you could be very happy there.
Does anyone know if it's possible to receive multiple job offers ( within that 48 hour window timeframe of acceptance)? My friend had 2 interviews in 1 day and thinks both schools would make an offer... they really want one more than the other. Just curious about protocol.
Hi Everyone - I am just looking to see which Iwakuni positions have been filled. I know they were hiring a few positions and wondering which areas have been filled so far. All I know is Math for start ☺
HelpOthersGood point. I would just say there are a lot of people headed that way, but it is impossible to know if all the vacancies have been filled. Good luck.
SupernovaSandArt, I am certified mainly in secondary, I had a TON of methods lessons in my undergraduate and graduate program, so it may depend on where the teacher earned their degree(s). Also depends on if the teacher was in public school and what is offered for teacher training. I had a lot of good workshops and training there as well.
My sister is a ...See MoreThat's great, Supernova. Like I wrote, I know my perspective is limited only to the secondary teachers I have worked with in my district.
We have excellent trainings in our districts for all, so even if you had a subpar teacher program, you can still learn. I have learned so much from our professional development.
My sister is a teacher in another district and city, and she says trainings are horrible and useless. Perspective sure changes depending on your environment.
Keep following up with the union (just to cause grief to the people doing you wrong if nothing else) but with the provisional rules there is not much for them to do.
I'm just wondering if anyone has any insight into what it means when you're contacted directly by a principal (DoDDS) asking for an interview. I just received such an e-mail but have not received any kind of referral. Any comments? Thanks!
libraryladyThat is what happened with both of my interview requests. I had one automated email about being on a referral list for a position in Japan (nothing came of that email). I never received an automated EAS referral list email from the two schools that actually asked me for interviews.
BettI got a message around two weeks ago to email the principal if I was interested in a High School English position. Of course I responded, but then I got the tentative offer for the job I accepted. Italy never contacted me for an interview. I don't know if it's because I received another offer or if I wasn't on the call-her pile.
libraryladyI received an email Monday morning from a principal at a high school in Italy requesting an interview for an Information Specialist position.
