Osan is a great spot! Wonderful area. Good principals come and go, nothing you can do on that. Once you work on an Air Force base you get spoiled! No worries about a Korean spouse, lots of DoDEA teachers are married to locals. Good Luck!

Generally, there is a hub you would be working near/from, and would need to relocate to that area. With virtual school this year, that has been less clear cut with many teachers detailed to DVS and working from their current/alternate location.

On base housing isn't an option, but there are good urbanizations/neighborhoods that are great options for families. The tax rate is higher. We pay PR tax and federal. You can pay PR tax on your credit card with their SURI website. I believe the cost of living is higher in PR but it also depends on what you are comparing it to. There isn't LQA or c...See More

I interviewed for a job last October and turned down the offer because of my situation at the time. I haven't received any referrals or interview requests since then. I see that my application is still current and listed on line. Anyone know what is going on or is the dod currently not hiring?

Make sure that under "file attachments" in EAS, the "SY Considered" says 2020-2021. If not, you will need to reupload ALL of your documents - State teaching license, Transcripts, SF50 (if a current/former fed employee), and any other relevant documents.
