haha Generally yes, but there have been times that people
travel on their tourist passport if necessary.

Excited My husband and I have tourist ones, but the kids don't so we will need the no-fee ones back in time.

KLS I applied 3 weeks ago for the official passport and tourist passport renewal (not expedited). I received the new tourist passport a week ago. I have not yet received the official.

Get tourist (blue cover) passports for your children ASAP. Techincally, even if they have the no-fee (brownish cover), these no-fee passports are not authorized to be be used for tourist/discretionary travel, which you should anticipate you will be doing.
