Hi all. I have a friend who is an aid in the DOD schools. She said I would be a great DOD teacher, so I applied 3 years ago. I was never asked to interview. I've updated my info every year. Is that the process? You have to wait for an interview first in one of the major cities? If you don't get called for that interview, I wouldn't get called for a job in the summer, would I? We're looking only at US schools...anywhere. I'm elementary or middle school music. It looks like there's a lot of primary, elementary, and middle schools in the US DOD system. What are my chances of getting an interview this summer? Thanks for any info.
haha I'm not 100% up on the hiring process for the stateside schools but I was under the impression that the interview process was the as it is for overseas: You apply, you get a referral notice and then may or may not get a call/email from a principal for a specific job opening at a specific school.
