It was posted in regards to the hiring freeze. At least they made a statement about it...

"The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze."
infiniti4 So, I wonder if after the 90 days are up, which will be in April, will all of these positions no longer be subject to the hiring freeze? I emailed someone in HR just today and she informed me that there has been no further "guidance" and positions remain frozen at this time.

SpedTeacher74 I have a friend that works for DoDEA in Alexandria and she says they've been given no formal guidance. She thinks they are requesting exemptions and waiting for those to be granted or denied...but that otherwise it would be after April 20th before we begin to hear anything on these positions.

happyteacher Ugh, this stinks. I hate waiting. This is just going to push back hiring even further. The weird thing is, one of my friends is an involved parent for a DoDEA school in Europe, and she said the school there is starting to get exemptions for hiring.... so many different stories!
