Last Tuesday I had an interview. I thought it went well and it ended with a discussion on reference checks. A couple of my pertinent references took a couple days to send in the information, but they all arrived by last Friday. This Tuesday the school principal confirmed all references arrived and watch my email for a notification from HR. It's Friday (10 days after the interview) and no word from HR. Should I assume the position is filled or continue to hope?

SandArt So, did he tell you that you had the job? Or, did he say that you would get an e-mail IF you were getting the job?

SandArt Also, I am confused that references took days to send information. Hadn't that been done already? My future principal did e-mail to clarify because I did not list a current employer, but then I explained that I am not teaching this year.
