To all of you who received offers, congratulations! Those of us left behind request that you don't forget what it was like to be on the outside looking in. With that said, please be willing to continue to post to this chatboard. HaHa has been wonderful to provide useful information and give us all a glimpse of what it is like on the inside. Now it is your turn to remember us and provide those insights. We also need you when you hear of openings and to let us know if your principal is good with receiving emails of inquiry from us. Finally, please share with us the settling in process and how to survive the mounds of paperwork required for this move. Keep this in mind, share with us what you wish someone had told you. Again, I'm so happy for you and wish you all the best.
Bett I totally understand. I will share anything I learn, but right now I'm still in "don't know much" mode. It seems it's a little different for each of us, but yes I'll remember to post.

SandArt Will do! I will definitely post multiple times each month January-March next year about getting multiple rabies shots and antibodies testing so your dog does not have to be quarantined in Japan or elsewhere. You can do the 180 days at home.... wish I knew.

Snow Lane I think so far my biggest surprise is the waiting game/ "don't know much" mode that Bett mentioned following the offer. I just want to know what to expect next!

TeacherMama K in Daegu yup, i tell people "I have more questions than answers!" all the time. this board has been a sanity saver, for sure.

I think it would be great to hear about other teachers' experiences at different schools too.

HelpOthers I apologize for not actively posting. I have been pretty busy in my current position. Now things are starting to slow down, so I will make a better effort to communicate on this board more often.
