I think I saw someone else post on this earlier, but I can't remember topic header. So, I currently work overseas for a non U.S. school district. Apparently, my processing has been held up because of some form I need to upload to show that my current employer pays for flight, housing, etc. The form I was sent refers to military work, which doesn't apply to me. My HR rep is consulting someone else on Monday (and, hopefully, I'll get an answer), but until then does anyone know the form or what I need to get in order to send, so that I will get housing allowance, etc. My HR rep said if we don't get past this part I won't qualify for housing since I'm already overseas, but my issue is that I leave this job and return to the states early July, so I will still be moving overseas. I've already sent her my job offer letter for here, which outlines all that my current employer pays, but she says I'll need to send more. Does anyone know what I should be getting ready to send her? Thanks.

Bett Oh no that's awful. I'm so sorry to read this. I'll keep on it and see where it all goes. If it turns out to not be the right deal for me, then so be it. I'm moving back to the states in July. I guess there's always next year, BUT I really want this job. If I don't hear back from my HR rep today, I'll email my principal and see if he can help me ge...See More

warmachine7954 I hope it does work out. The opportunity is great. I've got my application in EAS and I'm waiting for a call. Good luck.

haha It;s true that until the other benefits are officially approved it's not a done deal. But, if you are not already in the commuting area of the school where the offer is, and you can prove you were recruited from CONUS with similar benefits, you have a good shot of it working it out.

Unfortunately, many people have different experiences wit...See More

Bett Thank you both for your insight. I'll keep plugging away, and I'll post an update when I finally have a yes or no answer.
