WGU teacher college/DoDEA hire?

Hi all! I'm considering getting a teaching license and applying to teach for DoDEA. A little info about me: My husband is active duty Air Force and we have lived in Japan, Germany, and all over the US. We currently live in the states. We have 3 kiddos and all have attended DODDS schools. I have my bachelors degree. I work for the gov't in a gs position and am looking for a career change. I've looked into WGU and have considered either the post bacc licensure or a masters in elementary ed. My master plan is to get back to Europe and teach. Does anyone have any info or experience with WGU? I'm interested in their program as I can work while going to school. Does DoDEA hire WGU grads? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!!

HelpOthers You might also consider University of San Diego and Liberty University. Both offer discounts for military or federal government employees.

TravelingTeacher to Daegu I graduated from WGU with a Masters in Mathematics Ed. I loved it! I did it in one year and saved a lot of money by paying per semester instead of per credit. Just got hired in DoDEA!

JJP Bloo - That is great! I don't have any connection to DoDEA or DODDS now and am wondering how difficult it is to acquire student teaching through one of their schools without this.
